Student Led Gigs

As well as the performances that students have been doing within the department, there were many student-led gigs off of campus that we all got involved in. Second and third-year students from the Performance Module arranged their own independent gig at a local coffee shop a week after a performance assessment last term. What a way to celebrate the assignment going well. It was a fun, chill atmosphere and everyone got a chance to play around with some covers and even test out some new original material.

The gig was exclusively ran by Brunel Music students but attracted a crowd of locals and students from other departments. Everyone performed unique repertoires, it made for a very varied afternoon of music – it was a hit! Below you’ll find a little video of compiled clips showing the success of merging an acoustic jam with caffeine! More Brunel affiliated gigs at this venue are already in the works, so keep an eye out!
